Nope. That's what the manual says. Nothing to do with gas mileage. So far I've had zero engine issues in 12 years and over 170k miles. The only recommendation from the manual I don't follow is intervals. I do 5k instead of the recommended 10k. Also I've sent the oil in for analysis several times to Blackstone, and they have never found any unusual wear in the sample. In fact, they recommended I go to 8k intervals
Realistically unless one lives in sub zero temps, you would be fine with a off the shelf 5w30. That being said your engine and duty cycle probably will never really see any appreciable wear difference between 0w20 and 5w30 (not discounting there technically will be higher wear rates).
The venerable v6 will probably take vegetable oil and not miss a beat (please do not take that seriously)

Yeah lol, don't subject the timing chain to that haha!

Mecum tried to auction off Steve McQueen's LeMans Porsche owned by Jerry Seinfeld this weekend. The bidding ended at $25m. Seinfeld declined to sell it.

Just leave $25 million on the table...just another day in the life of the ultra rich
It's indeed boost weather....it's so cold here even the PSAS4s just spin 1/2 at full power. Burning all 4 is hilarious though
Gotta somehow get some heat 🔥 in the 🛞
Today dropped the X7 off for PPF. It’s been in a bubble in the garage waiting on the appt. Did however tint the windows first day home last week. Wonder if I can code some changes on it? @FrankReynoldsCPA
