Actually around here houses with 3 car garages are really expensive. It’s a pretty rare thing and I’d likely be in the $2M price point to get one. I could afford a $2M house I suppose but no cars to put in the garage lol

Agreed, it isn’t easy buying a house with a three car garage around here either. I put an offer on a house last week with a 3 car garage but it wasn’t a big 3 car garage. It was a custom built house and big but the garage wasn’t as big as it should be and it has 3 garage doors that are close to one another vs one single car garage door and one big double car garage door which I would want.

Anyway, we offered asking and they took someone else’s offer and just yesterday I got a call from my realtor that that contract fell through. Not sure what to do but that garage really bothers me.

Tell her about all the money she would save living in Texas or Florida, she can fly back to the Bay once a month and hang out with her friends. In between trips, buy her an iPhone 📱 and she can FaceTime them daily 😆

Sell your house and move here

What you’re trying to say is, Texas has 4 seasons. 😆

Same. I guess swatting a few mosquitoes 🦟 in the humidity isn’t too bad after all. 😆

The first house we put an offer on before buying our current one had a slightly oversized 2-car garage like many houses in that area. But the third "bay" next to it was sized for a bus. 2 stories high, probably 18' wide, enough length to park 3 cars nose to tail with room to spare. Oh and another garage door at the far end, leading to a patio in the backyard big enough for 5-6 cars.

We like literally everything else about the house we wound up in better than that one, but the garage was something else. I would have put in a 2-post AND 4-post lift.

I just want a house with a big garage and it’s hard to find around me. I found one with a huge 3 car garage that has a full bath and could fit 6 cars and really high ceilings, excellent back yard with a huge pool but the inside of the house kinda of sucked.

Every house we look at we just say it isn’t worth moving to since we redid every inch of our house the way we want it and everything we look at needs a good bit of work to make it how we want it and no one is building houses near us anymore, no land to develop.

I think we are passing on the house but I am sure I will regret it just like some of you that passed on opportunities before. The problem is we have a house so it’s just a want vs a need.

On another note and car related, after we got back from vacation a couple days ago, my wife told me she scratched our new Tesla before vacation and she didn't want to tell me beforehand and ruin my vacation. She ended up running over a parking curb and scratched the underside of the front bumper. I thought, how bad can it be, I have PPF on there I just had installed. I look underneath and it is a huge gash where it sliced right through the new PPF and the bumper paint and there is a hole in the lower panel behind the bumper. F me, it's a brand new car with probably 2k miles on it. Of course the parking block she ran over had some rebar sticking up and it just ripped through the underside.

I had to super glue the sliced part of the PPF and painted bumper and luckily it held and had to push the piece of the undertray that ripped open and hanging down back in the hole the rebar made. I'm getting the under tray replaced and luckily it is really cheap from Tesla but the paint part kills me. Oh well, I keep telling myself it's a lease so it's not my car but it isn't working in my brain.

Ugh that sucks. Sorry to hear that man.

My brothers wife did something similar in their brand new Honda Odyssey last year.

That sucks! I hate stuff like that. I has something similar happen with my S560 not long after I had it and even though nobody could see it, it bugged me until I turned it in.

Maybe you can spare me some of that farm land...I can build my own castle 🤣

I'm happy here, building my wealth. When the right time comes, I'll make my move

I hear you friend.
I have a dent in my trunk lid from having a bad day and backing into a lumber cart at Lowes.

It hurts to look at it.
Also hurts to pay and get it fixed for something that should've never happened. Lol 🫸🫷

Althought I can't see it unless I look under the bumper, it still bothers me and I have 3 years left with it so that's what sucks. I will always be drawn to it when I wash my car.

If I had the space I would build a separate garage today. Unfortunately I don't so I would have to buy an entire new house to do that.

I have a huuuuge side yard where one would fit but it wouldn't really look good.
