The hubster’s old FJ Cruiser had 3 wipers as well — never had a car that 3 wipers before. This was right before we traded it in for his current Tundra limited.
Thanks for posting that. I had forgotten that the FJ Cruiser had triple-duty there on the windshield.

Maybe sometimes — we didn’t get to take it off road as much as we would’ve liked to and as we got older, the “rough off road rides” hurt more than when we were younger — that’s for sure 🤣

Was it the FJ with full time 4WD? 1GR with 6 speed manual and full time 4WD

As I understood it, the FJ, mechanically and underpinnings, was the same vehicle as the 4Runner of that era, except for a much different retro-design to the body and interior.

nice. it was really cool that Toyota gave the consumer choice at that era. Two completely different ways to drive the vehicle an automatic with part-time four-wheel-drive and a manual with full-time four-wheel-drive and it was the same engine. The full-time four-wheel-drive version even had a matching alloy fifth wheel spare. Very basic in design in that almost all interior parts or manual. It is a shame that it is gone

There was a time I REALLY wanted an FJ, in blue.
They were wanting crazy money for them and I didn't pull thr trigger.
You might not feel that way if it was somebody you cared about or you. People get hit by cars without it being their fault all the time.
we're talking about fins in the back. no one is getting hit by them without it being their fault.
should nice wrought iron fencing like this be banned because someone falling on them would be impaled?
The truth is a lot of thought goes into the regulation of vehicle design to improve safety for everyone, drivers, pedestrians etc. As it should be. We don’t need pointy things on cars that can hurt people.
and yet you don't like blobby cars, but they're all heading that way.
It happens! Shifter design is another big issue IMO
Yep. Jeep was more or less forced to change the shifter on the 2015 Grand Cherokee after actor Anton Yelchin was killed when he thought he had it in Park...and didn't.

Almost pulled the trigger on a couple of these last year until I start reading on club Lexus about their issues. An old friend of mine used to have one of these back in the 90s and he would let me drive it. Loved that car!!
