Do you like this over an old school shifter handle style?

Maybe it's not that bad, still thinking about it.
I had a 2016 MDX which was the first year of this push button shifter. I liked it as it became intuitive fairly quickly. My NX 350h seems a little awkward with the shifter that does everything, but park. There’s a physical park button.

I had to go to just south of Pittsburgh for a funeral yesterday, I found the snowstorm on top of the mountain on I-68 lol. It was like 12 degrees and the washer fluid froze as soon as it hit the windshield, which surprised me because I thought it was supposed to be good until -20 or something...

when it hits the windshield and freezes, what does it look like or what does it do? I’ve never heard of that or seen that happen

It became this bluish white slush. Never seen it before either. MB has two types of washer fluid, Winterfit and Summerfit, all I can think is maybe its the Summerfit? Its the original washer fluid that came in the car and the car was originally in Miami and then in Kentucky beforew I bought it where it was used to drive the F1 drivers around in Miami.

Luckily I used that all up on the trip and it says its low, so I will refill it today with the Winterfit.

In this picture what I circled is the washer fluid frozen to the roof above the windshield.

Mercedes must not heat the washer fluid anymore when it's cold out....

You probably had summer fluid. The wind speed likely lowered the effective temp of the fluid when it was being sprayed and let it freeze....

Arent your nozzles and tank heated though? That's one of the cool features most Mercedes have that I like a lot

They do, its heated. It came out of the nozzle liquid but the wind froze it on the glass. I was doing 75-80 and it was VERY windy.

Has to be the wrong fluid...it definitely blinded me for a second as it didnt wipe off once it was frozen

I thought our LX at least would have heated fluid but nope. A little surprising there.

The Benz heats up the washer fluid.

Mercedes are definitely primo cold weather cars, not everyone knows that.

P.S. Have I mentioned this is the worst winter EVER???

It will still freeze when it hits a very cold windshield if there isn't enough alcohol in it.

I run -35F washer fluid year round, specifically to avoid this possibility.

never see thet happen. What is the point of heating windshield washer fluid if your windshield washer fluid isn’t supposed to freeze under a certain temperature?

you should have a heated windshield grid that warms the wipers. I have that on one of my SUVs. Sort of does the same

I’m out getting it washed. Yeah it clearly wasn’t the winterfit fluid. This is the bottle of it.
