It did look good when you washed it lol. The wiring harness stuff looks like a nightmare.

The wire got so hot it burned the colored plastic coating. Can't even see what color they should be.

That makes it hard when looking at a schematic. Lol
Fuses should've popped before wires get this hot, at least that's the hope.

haha, perfect.

note how tall the greenhouse on the cullinan is...

it's so people with big hats can keep 'em on inside.

also love the reverse opening rear doors for easy entry/exit.
Good point! British women love their hats.

That Cullinan is beautiful. Imagine customizing it out yourself if you bought one. White wouldn’t be my choice but it sure looks great.

Nah lol, if you look at the upstream wires they are melted as one! Can't separate them or they just rip out entirely.....I have to go ALL the way back to a point they aren't bound together

Nightmare.
I don't think most shops would touch a job like this especially if the harness has no convenient junctions.

They'll run away in fear. Lol

Other shops would absolutely touch it. But they wouldn't do a challenging (but dramatically less expensive) direct repair like Striker is doing. They'd just quote you $4k for a new harness, and another $5k to replace it.

You got that right. Lol
The only way, replace the harness
And then add a disclaimer that it could be more $$$.

Won't know what else it needs(if anything) until the wiring is fixed.

PS- I in no way said a Yukon is more prestigious than a Bentley.. But to me they look better, at least a nice and loaded one. Bentagays are just meh. They don’t stand out!
I think the RR suv looks great. Saw one at the show yesterday

now sure if you are into old SL models?

Ooof! They mean V8 in general isn’t going anywhere. MB was one of the most delusional brands, this is kind of a biggie.

It was clean yesterday.....
It was clean yesterday.....

So peak first world question, should I use driving gloves in winter or the heated wheel? Can't quite feel it though the gloves...... Main reason I have the gloves though is to avoid touching the leather with my hands so I'm conflicted.

I never understood the point of driving gloves.

Heated wheel with no gloves for me.

I've been told it prevents the leather on the wheel from wearing out, originally it was to keep hands warm on early cars/drawn wagons and is a vestigial practice.

My pair was gifted to me so I'm experimenting with the concept.......not decided yet but I do like the aspect of not needing to wipe down my wheel after every drive. However I also like the heat and touching the wheel directly so?!?
