Hopefully they make right by it.
A few years ago I needed a tire patched on my M340 so I took it to a local tire place and just had a bad feeling. I just brought the loose wheel/tire because I don’t trust these shops. I asked them to be careful to not scratch my rims since it was somewhat of a new car to me and the guy was like no problem. I still didn’t trust them so I took a picture of the wheel at the shop before I left and when I went back to pick up the wheel, yup a 2” gouge on the rim. At first they asked if I was sure it wasn’t there and I said yup, here’s a pic I took when I dropped it off. They ended up fixing it for me but it took two-three days.

Now I have a trusted mobile guy come to my house, I will never go back to a tire shop anymore. I seem to always have bad luck with them.

Thanks for the replies to everyone.

I think what happened possibly is a dismounted tire bounced off the car. That would explain the black smudge. You know how they "roll" tires around and sometimes they lean up against the car?

I think one ran into the car when someone wasn't paying attention or when they were swapping the rims on or off.

They're not going to think I'm lying, I don't think, because the front bumper actually does have paint damage and needs attention much, much more. I only noticed this damage because I was wiping off the bumper where the car wash didn't get. So why would I come to them with barely noticeable damage in the rear bumper when the front needs a respray from the plain eye?

Oh that would totally do it, if they (stupidly) dropped a tire off another car instead of removing it all the way to the ground by hand it could have even bounced directly into your car.

I just emailed them with those pictures and was really nice about it (I'm good at stuff like this as much as I hate dealing with it), so I'm glad I got ahead of it. They'll see the email first thing Monday morning, and I forgot to buy a battery anyway when the car was there so I'll be back in contact anyway.

94 has randomly popped up at some nearby Sunocos. Not trying to introduce an octane debate here lol. Just an observation.

Yea I filled up this morning. Sunoco rolling out 94 must be a very new thing. I've only noticed it in the last week or so.

The sign in that second pic is brand new. It still had a weird chemical smell to it. Somewhat like a freshly printed magazine.

it's a bit like having '11' on a volume control.
probably not going to make any difference but why not.

Yea pretty much lol.

I think I'm more interested in why Sunoco management would randomly roll out 94 at the beginning of 2025? Seems odd to me.

No it's not going to do anything, lol. We have 93 gas as premium here. Zero difference in my car between that and 91 in California.

Sunoco sells 94 here some places too. Which is even funnier when our premium is 93 lol. It’s better, it’s in face ONE better!

I fuelled up last night. Took me about 5 minutes, I put 78 litres in the tank. It’s been a long time since my low fuel light comes on, I have a dedicated bulb that goes on. What does your LX?

no fumbling of the gas cap. Tethered. @AJT123 I thought of letting the vehicle run, but I got nervous.

Me and low fuel are on a first name basis. And let it run. Sometimes if it’s cold enough, I’ll sit inside the car in the heat while I pump.

Top tier 93 or Walmart 91 non ethanol..which one are you all choosing?
