most satisfying vs most reliable (2024)
respectfully, your rav phev electric range is tiny so not relevant relative to a BEV. and unless one charges only every few days or otherwise gets the battery really low and forgets to charge, and has a lot of miles to do the next day, then it really isn't an issue. and one can put an evening reminder on their phone or watch to recharge. or if one lives not far from a DC charging station again, not an issue. my car at home charges about 10% or 25mi. per hour. i can check the level from the phone so can do so when i wake up if i want or am concerned i might have forgotten to plug in, and if low i can charge until i have to leave the house.
just wondering, why?
guess she doesn't like a quiet smooth ride. if it's the center screen, should feel right at home with the prius.
She doesn’t even have the Toyota app on her phone to see how much charge the Rav has. She just knows whether it has EV range or not, there’s some gas in it so she will make it to wherever she needs to go at that moment. Charger used to be on a schedule but now I have it set to soon as it’s plugged in it starts charging. Just need her to plug it in. I’ve told my daughter to go in the garage and plug in because I think mommy forgot.
Our 3rd gen Prius has Apple CarPlay 😁 Prius sees more off road than my truck. 🫣🤣
Honestly I would buy/drive an EV before she ever would. On our roadtrip today we were passing a 3 or Y and I mentioned imagine if we were in an EV and she responded “you would be on this trip alone and I would be at home.” Idk maybe I’m married to @AJT123 🤣🤣🤣

I get anxious sometimes even looking for gas stations when out of town... I couldn't imagine charging.
I can say that outside of getting notification that family members have died, are dying, or have been rushed to the hospital I have never had a need to take a roadtrip occur while I'm out running errands.
I know what I would do in those situations though if I were out in an EV...I would run home and get in the other car. I'm going to need clothes etc anyways.
Point is a lot of the reasons not to get an EV are in our heads.

Completely spontaneous. Car has a wireless charger, we grabbed a cable and the store we were in just in case. Other than that, chick fil A and some gas and we were on the road.

Celebrating Lexus & Toyota from Around the Globe

Back to ICE. B58/S58 has to be one of my favorite engines! I've stated this several times in EV chat, if I ever went back, I would probably have an M2 as a daily. When I eventually have an empty nest, who knows
