If there’s a chance of snow, schools close, roads close. We don’t know how to handle nor drive in snow.
Years ago I was in Kansas for work and it snowed overnight. Next morning attempted to drive my little beater Nissan hardbody to work 15 min away. Within a few feet leaving the hotel I was sliding all over the place. I called work and told them I’ll see them on Monday. It was Wednesday or Thursday. I didn’t go anywhere until Monday.
ppf won't help with the damage of course, only after the 'fix' for next time.
i will use our colleague mmarshall's suggestion of scratch-out for a first quick pass to see what of the mark can be removed. the stuff really is amazing if it's basicaly a mark on top of the paint/clearcoat.

I think the paint and clear coat are fine, most of this is residue from the object that hit my car. I was able to rub some of out with my finger. I have Scratch Out on order from Amazon, so thanks for that suggestion!

you're welcome. i know us techies get most stuff from amazon, but a local auto store or walmart would have been quicker. although maybe where you are it's same day

I'm too lazy for all of that. Amazon will have it at my door tomorrow
Decided to try out the new v4 Tesla superchargers (325 kW Max)
The are much more elegant looking. Started at 55 percent SoC, took less than 20 minutes to reach 80 percent. It was about the same as the 250 kW chargers, my car maxes out at 250 kW, so really only the Cyber Truck benefits from the faster speeds
PPF now a days cost a small fortune to get installed in the Bay Area. I have been to one shop in Fremont that because famous because they don't use prefab cuts, but custom to your car and fold the film around panel edges so you can't see it. I think it's about $1500-2000 for hood, and another same price for the bumper. At that price, Im not entirely convinced it's worth it.

$1500 for just a hood or bumper is definitely not worth it. I've looked at DYI videos, and doesn't seem worth it going that route either
You have to be able to get it done cheaper than that. I paid I think $2,500 for the full front clip this time, full hood, bumper, fenders and headlights. Thats pretty much the most expensive place in town
