This is the truth. I have said for a long time other Japanese carmakers don't belong in the same sentence as Toyota so far as reliability goes.

My old G35 I had for 14 years was great and my current G37 I've had for 5 years has been the same. I think those horrible CVT's dragged Nissan/Infiniti way down.

I work with 2 guys that are close to 300k on their Titans.

The B58 engine seems to be bulletproof. BMW did a great job with it.

I see it in people that I know. My cousin for instance has two old Nissans, a Murano and a Rogue. They both have high mileage, the Murano is about 175,000 miles and the Rogue is about 100k miles, they just always have little things wrong with them, people I know with old Toyotas, including me, just don't have those kinds of problems.

My assistant has a CR-V and he has had all kinds of problems with it, my brother in law and sister in law drive Hondas, they have had two Odysseys and an Accord and a CR-V and they have all kinds of issues that you just don't see with Toyotas. They are about to buy a Grand Highlander for that reason.

I wouldn't be concerned to buy any of them if I wanted them, but if reliability was my primary driver I would get a Toyota.

I def agree with that. If you compare a 2014 Camry vs a 2014 Altima the Camry is probably doing way better.

Even though I've had a great experience with Nissan/Infiniti they no longer appeal to me at all.

Nissan is the Chrysler of Japan, you can get a somehow perfect one that gives you no issues or an absolute annoyance. Roll the dice and see lol!
