Which do you value more in an EV?
You should change Speed to Power. I would say most don't drive too fast because of speed limits and aggressive enforcement because of illegal racing and recent retail crime sprees. Going over 80 mph here will get you a huge ticket
Quietness and comfort. No piped in fake motor sounds that cannot be turned off. Charging port in the front part of the vehicle so I do not have to back into my home garage or deal with 25 feet of charging cable snaking across the floor. A high contrast setting for the screen. Availability of leather interior; not everyone who buys an EV is enchanted by plastic or fabric seats. A spare tire instead of a can of fix-a-flat and an air pump. And speaking of air pumps, with the huge battery why not include a really good, rapid-inflating air compressor?
i guess by power you mean acceleration. i meant acceleration as part of speed.
that rules out teslas, lol.
agreed. i haven't heard of an ev where you can't turn off the fake sound.
obviously depends on where your 240v / charge is positioned. if port is in back of car and charge is near garage door, all good, no?
good points.

What car manufacturer gives you a spare tire today? Anyone bought a new car recently? Most don't even give you a donut anymore. Just a compressor with fix a flat, which I wouldn't use unless you are stuck in the middle of the desert. In most cases now it's special order or aftermarket
Tesla puts their charge port drivers side rear, which works fine for me either super charging or charging at home. My home charger is on the Right side and the charging cord is long enough to reach with no issues. Also now Tesla is now placing many of their Fast chargers in a way where you can pull in either face first or back in

here's a few:
(excuse clickbait title and terrible production but the 3 owner driving the Y notes how much louder it is).
and this weak review (looks like he took the car on a test drive from a tesla store, lol) shows how noisy the X is on the highway. i also noticed how none of the doors line up.

compare that with this comparing X to EQS SUV... long time owners of the X are blown away by how much quieter and smoother the EQS SUV is.
another thing i've noticed in all the tesla footage i've seen (i'll see how it goes in my upcoming rental) is how the steering seems to require a ton of wheel turn for very little steering output. this is even more awful with the dreadful yolk you can see in the first X video there.

i think i would put a charger in the middle of the side wall of my garage so it could reach either end of whatever car i get, but we'll see.

I'm not going to comment on those videos because too many people making YouTube videos have an agenda... to get people to click on their videos. There is definitely some road noise from Tesla's, but it mainly comes down to the tires used. And it's really not that bad. The only thing I can say is, drive the car yourself and judge for yourself instead of listening to a bunch of people with agenda's
If I was to ever buy an ev I would.look for:
1) range.
2) access and convenience to charging whether at home or traveling, BIG ONE for me.
3) long term reliability, if buying used.
4) resale value and depreciation within reasonable numbers.

Probably most important in the EV not in the poll is the charging infrastructure, specifically the supercharger. I just went on total 500 mile road trip one way over the weekend in my friends model 3, and we stopped in a supercharger a total of 3 times: once on the way there, once at the destination, and once on the way back. Note that this was SF to Tahoe so the mountain climb was draining the battery quite a bit. But in all three sessions, we just went the bathroom and grabbed a Starbucks drink, came out and went on our way with nearly full charge. Really quite amazing. To me, Tesla is the only option as far as Im concerned. I did however see a set of Rivian only chargers in Tahoe but it's going to be highly inefficient for all these automakers to make their own chargers, like Mercedes and Rivian. Really they should just adopt the Tesla plug.
When everyone agrees on a standard I believe we will see major investment into supercharger stations popping up at accelerated rates, faster than they are already.
They have to turn an income to build the stations. Lol
Other than Tesla, who can afford to make cars PLUS build out the nation's charging infracture for just THEIR car aka ahem.. Rivian and others... Lol

Teslas aren't loud, at least no Tesla I have ever been in is loud. The issue is that you don't realize how different an EV vs ICE car is in terms of feeling quiet, not having any motor sound leaves so many other frequencies and sounds out there for your ears to pick up. Its almost like the ICE serves as a noice-cancellation machine. Until recently, Tesla has really been the only game in town and they haven't been focused on combatting this, but other carmakers are so they are as well.
