I’m running 1 watt resistors on the rear retractors currently wo issues. That info was from someone in Cali who has used that size and seemed ok.
If .5 or .25 watt would be safer, I’ll swap them out.

Nah, too big is never an issue, and if you have them lying around, sure use them. My experience in the electronics world says a 1/4w resistor is as common as dirt, so they're usually pretty cheap if you have to buy them. It's the high wattage (10 - 100+) ones that cost a grip and a half.
