OK CJitty followers, what say you to this.....

- Can you put 22" wheels on a 2011 LS 600h L without a bunch of mods, tuning, etc?

- I'm in NY, so I'm thinking about getting a set of cool wheels for spring/summer/fall (maybe those Vossen CV1's) and putting snow tires on the 19" OEM rims for the winter.... Does that involve re-tweaking suspension, etc or is that a plug and play change-out when the snow comes? Can you get half the way there by sticking with a cool 19" set up instead?

- If you cross over to the dark side of tricking out your already over the top ride, do you give up the awesome silence and smooth ride that the fuddy duddy wheels/tires currently give? Do the larger rims still have a quiet, super smooth ride or is it really more about hugging the road and looking cool with the 22's as opposed to feeling like your floating on air even when your traversing NY-sized pot holes?

- I put around 3k miles a month on this rig so it has to feel like butter, not just look good.

- And, the final jeopardy question, what wheels make it all work and how many miles should I expect to get?

Or, is this whole gambit a bad idea for simple back seat drivin' city folk?

As I mentioned in your other thread, did you take time to read the Wheel and Tire Sticky thread? If you looked through this build thread, you would have your 22" wheel question answered as well. Also, use the search feature. The topic of 22 inch wheels and comfort has been discussed more than a million times. Folks like me have really taken a lot of time to describe as much as possible about our wheel experiences along with other mods, so please take the time to review all of the research that is out there...short answer to your question is yes, but you need to review all the pages of my thread to learn about staggered wheels and AWD cars like our 600. You can go without staggered wheels similar to what Whitetooth has done and eliminate some of the concern..again, please study the wheel and tire sticky thread which is below in my signature. if you still have questions, post em up.

Do you have any side pictures of the lowest driveable setting on your 22's?

For me, that picture right above is my max level that I like to drive on, which is level 5 front, 4 rear.

I could probably go down one more level to 6 front, 5 rear, but I know it rides like crap at that level so I never drive it lower than what you see above. Cheez80 used to drive his 600 at 6 all around on his 22s. Check out page 1 of this thread, 2nd post. I believe that is 8/6 level, but the car is rock stiff and I know can't be good for the struts at that level driving around. I drive 5/4 because my daily commute is nice pothole/joint free roads..

I was under the impression that you could slam the air suspension and still have a smooth ride. I guess we cant have our cake and eat it too. Car looks great bud. Between the wheels, drop, and the 600hL you are pretty badass in the Lexus world. You put together one hell of a car!

Thanks Tammer, I appreciate that. But I have to be honest. Some of these guys here in the LS forum are doing wayyyy bigger things than me. I am pretty conservative with my setup..wheels, drop, some tint and other little mods, but these other guys with more capital at their disposal are going hard!! Actually, I like helping folks out more than anything

I would love to get a simple OEM style kit and the VAISTECH Android iVIC setup and call it a day. just not sure which way to go on the kit. I know I have a 600, but dropping $5k+ on a body kit is something I just can't do and feel good about..spending money wise. Especially when I got a little one on the way in 7 weeks ...he will be a car guy too haha!

But, I do appreciate the words man...I love that white LS of yours on the CV1s..looks so right!!!
