yep, i am starting to panic about the brake actuator or whatever it is that causes the knocking sound. I have done tons of reading here, but nobody really knows what the problem is. Some say it is the brake actuator and others say it is the control arms. Who knows? what's the way to really tell? have you had such problems?
For brake actuator, pump the brakes while stopped never letting up enough for vehicle to move if in gear. If you still hear the crunching, get ready for $3k to disappear (or about a c-note if you know somebody at the dealership...)
Friend: "We are going to miss the game since we are driving and stuck in traffic"
Me: "Well, ya see....this here 600 can deliver the game live thanks to Vaistech and an Android Galaxy Phone"
Lucky you. It's too bad Vaistech couldn't get the rear camera working on the non-self parking models. I don't think their application guide mentions the issue, but they told me over the phone that it won't work

I was told by two dealers that the brake actuator noise is a nuisance and not a part failure situation, otherwise there would be a safety recall and not a TSB..so save the $3k and deal with noise

Yeah..not sure why that is but I think they are atill trying to figure that out. A lot of folks are holding off so it is in vaistech's interest to figure that out for folks without self parking
GREAT NEWS Android IVIC owners. I just rooted my Galaxy Note 2 and installed "Screen Standby" from the Google Play Store. This app on a rooted phone will sense connection to MHL HDMI and automatically turn your phone screen completely OFF!! You can even still use touchscreen on phone while off if need be which is a cool feature. Then when you unplug from MHL HDMI. .the phone screen comes right back on.
This is major because one of the main battery drain issues is that the phone screen has to stay on at all times while connected to IVIC. Well..not anymore if you are willing to root your phone. With unroot being as easy as rooting now. .this is a must if you are going to get an iVIC and plan to do long trips..your battery will take a far less hit with that screen off.
On another note..somehow..someway on two occassions I was able to split sources..using my oem satellite radio while displaying my Waze navigation on my factory nav screen. This is not a feature of the ivic at all..but I think when the rear camera switches the forced sync allows this situation to happen which is great but I cannot do the same when I try to do it..so I need to pay more attention on the sequence. Otherwise I will have to stream or play music from my phone if I want to listen to audio and display my phone nav or other apps on oem screen at same time..more to come
Update. Just got my new Vossen 22x9 / 22x10.5 CV4s with Matte Graphite / Machined finish installed. I also got new Delinte Thunder D7 tires in 255/30/22 front and 305/25/22 rear. Wheels/Tires balanced up perfectly so far and I am very happy with this new look. Not running spacers anymore either since the Delintes have a wide look to them. Tires were $575 shipped to my door and so far after 60 miles or so I an happy with them. Made a few stops and received some postive comments from passerbys..
