Default Question for BBK owners. Do you lose the e-brake?

As the title suggests. I might be picking up a set of StopTech or Rotoras for all 4 corners soon. Just wondering if I will lose the e-brake. I always step on it when I park on an incline. Hopefully I won't have to lose it, but I think I might because the stock setup is a drum in disc. The BBK seem like they're disc only.

Someone chime in?

I'm guessing you need one of the four corners BBK guys to chip in. I've only got the 355mm Brembo's up front, OEM (upgraded rotors, lines, pad, fluid) in rear. My parking brake works fine.

I installed Rotoras all around and I did not lose my E Brake. The rear disc hat section is basically the same as the stock rotor where the e brake resides. Should be no problems.

Teelex, thanks for the info. However, anyone know abuot the Stoptechs? The rear hats look like there is no "inner drum" for the stock e-brake.

Unless you are picking up a used set, StopTech no longer offers a 4-wheel setup for the 2GS. Last I checked, it is low on their priority list so I doubt we will ses something soon. Maybe you got newer/updated info?

Sorry, I had a few drinks last night and thought he was looking at supra brakes.

For any upgraded brakes it would be outright silly if a vendor made the inner rotor size anything different from stock innner rear rotor size. Meaning you ebrake should be fine.

why dont you just call or email stoptech and ask? you could probably get a faster response than posting here and hoping someone with your exact setup happens to click into this section of the forum.

My setup retained the parking brake. Per Neo, you can't get this kit new and there were only 3-4 max ever shipped. But as Teelex mentioned, it's all in the hat - regardless of rotor/caliper/kit related stuff we know stop tech has or had the proper hat for the rear brakes.
