Default brake question

i just bought cross drill and slotded rotors. dont know witch way they go on cause the boxes wernt marked. some pics ive seen on this site have slots facing forward some are facing to the rear can any one tell me the proper installation. ive had them on both ways and cant tell any difference in the braking. one way just makes more brake dust it seems....

They should go on so that the slots on the top face the back. As teh rotors turn the slots push outwards.
