After Road & Track accidentally leaked pics of the Lexus LF-LC concept scheduled to be revealed at NAIAS, the Lexus brass responded by releasing official shots showing the new 2+2 in all its glory.

With models like the LFA, IS F, and GS F Sport in its stable, it’s hardly a secret Lexus wants to move beyond pillow-soft luxury cars into serious high-performance territory. And if recent rumors are any indication, this strategic shift might also involve uprooting its corporate HQ.

OK, we hear how the biannual Tokyo Auto Show is losing relevance. And given the rise of China, along with the dismal percent of foreign cars on the road in Japan, it kind of makes sense. But then, we see stuff like this naked LFA, and all we want to do is fly to Tokyo.

It’s a good thing you guys are on ClubLexus and not one of those shady enthusiast sites, because this is what can happen when you run with the wrong internet crowd. This footage shows the aftermath of one of the most expensive car crashes ever!

Generally, my favorite thing about a big unveiling is that it sucks most of the press folks into one area of the show, which makes it easier to get photos of cars that would otherwise be mobbed.

When people asked me how the LA Auto Show was this year, I generally tell them it’s about 98 percent boring and two percent “oh-my-God-I’d-murder-someone-to-own-that.” And that’s how most consumer auto shows are.

Los Angeles is the only stop on the show circuit where the ladies attending it are as hot–or hotter–than the models in the booths. Seriously, California girls are no joke. But the booth babes weren’t bad either. Enjoy the photos!
