An ISF rear bumper cover is an easy upgrade to install in a few hours. It enhances the modified look of the Lexus IS. Learn how to install it yourself below.

Materials Needed

  • Metric sockets
  • Flathead and Phillips screwdrivers
  • Metric wrenches
  • Specialized clip removal tools (recommended)

Step 1 - Remove the existing rear bumper

Working from underneath the rear of the car, remove the clips and bolts that hold the bumper on. You will need to remove some bolts from the bottom of the bumper, and the rest you can reach from the inside of the trunk.

Pro Tip

Use a fishing tackle box or other box with compartments to put the fasteners in. Put them in the box in an orderly fashion so reassembly is in reverse order. That way you know where they go.

Step 2 - Install the new bumper

Installation is the opposite of removal. Be sure to test fit the bumper for proper alignment with the mounting tabs and exhaust.
