The Fsport lip adds a unique touch to the front bumper. If a sporty look and feel is what you are looking for, this lip will give you just that. Here is how to do it yourself and save hundreds of dollars on labor.

Materials Needed

  • Power drill
  • Sandpaper
  • Metric sockets
  • Flathead and Phillips screwdrivers
  • Metric wrenches
  • Dremel tool
  • Consider getting specialized clip removal tools

Step 1 - Remove the front bumper

Open the hood and remove all of the clips and screws on the plastic top piece of the bumper. Then remove the bolts from behind the fender skirt in front of the front wheels. There are also clips and screws at the bottom of the bumper that you will have to remove.

Pro Tip

Use a fishing tackle box or other box with compartments to put the fasteners in. Put them in the box in an orderly fashion so reassembly is in reverse order. This way, you know where they go.

Step 2 - Disconnect the fog lights and washer hoses (if you have them)

Disconnect the fog light housings as shown in figure 4. If you have washer hoses for your lights, disconnect those as well.

Step 3 - Remove the bumper and cut the holes for the lips

Lay the bumper on a piece of cloth such as a towel or old bed sheet to avoid scratching it. Wipe the back of the bumper down and find the formed areas in the plastic where the mounting holes will be drilled. Drill the ends of the slots and then cut between the drill holes with the Dremel tool.

Step 4 - Line up the new pieces and install the clips

Line up the new lip pieces by inserting the tabs through the slots. Insert the fastener clips. Reassemble in reverse order. Install the fog lights by clipping them back into place. Then, install the bumper in its place, and re-install all the bolts and clips.
