Default Moog ball joints

I was wondering if moog ball joints come greased up already. I’m not to sure as I’m basically a beginner at this type of thing. There was a smudge that could be grease when I opened them up. I read a few threads that were from 10 years ago to grease them but I want some more recent feedback. I was gonna take it to a shop but just want to hear what you guys have to say first

If they have a zerk fitting grease them before you use them. If not leave them alone

Agreed. Parts with no grease (zerk) fittings usually come with what they need.

Ok. I was too ashamed to ask but since the subject is on the table...

I just put on new bj’s that came with grease fittings but seemed to have just a little bit of grease in them.

But I didn’t grease em cuz I’d already installed them and couldn’t get the grease gun fitting on em afterwards.

Q: Should I take em out and fill them with grease?

Yes you need to grease them. If you've only been driving on them for a couple hundred miles they're probably fine. Try turning the wheels to get to the grease fittings. You shouldn't need to remove the ball joints to grease them since the point of the fitting is so they can be greased when installed to increase their usable life.

what brand ball joints did you get man? I bought moogs but they're made in Indonesia and I heard they aren't as good so I think I may have regretted my decision.
I also read up on greasing ball joints in general, that it's better to grease them while they're on the car. I wasn't too sure either

I always use the moogs. No issues.
I did grease the bj’s yesterday and he was right, just had to turn the wheel all the ways to the right/left to be able to get the gun on and fill them.

Nice nothing they’re nice and lubed now.

good luck.

What additional grease did you guys end up using since LBJ with the fittings came somewhat pregreased?

I think it was just generic ball joint grease or something similarly named. Yea, mine had a dab of prelude but I just wanted the added assurance of filling the joint fully.
