On the the same topic.

Does anyone know if the pads should be changed according to dates not distance used?

My fronts are only 18k miles old but they have been on the car for I think 5 years. And from looking at them they have around 3-4mm left.

Should I replace them?

It's all personal preference. Some like to replace the pads while replacing the rotors at the same time since pads nowadays don't cost much. Others will only replace the pads if need replacing. However, it does seem like you will need to replace your brake pads pretty soon from what you're mentioning. When that time comes, feel free to PM me and I'll do my best help you out to replace your brakes since we are a vendor here on the forum.

If you need to replace your brakes, you'll need the rotors (1) and brake pads (7). We are a vendor on this forum that offers aftermarket performance brake parts for your vehicle and you guys get a special price for being a member on the forum as well.
