Default PERFORMANCE coilover question

Need a new suspension, 120k miles on my IS350 and im feeling pretty soft I did plenty of searches on the forums for coilovers and so far everyone just talks about what the best suspension is for lowering their car. I'm not looking to drop my car more than an inch. I just want performance/stiffness.

QUESTION: I need to know if Megan EZs will give me a hefty handling/body roll improvement over stock suspension.... or if I need to go with BCRs for that. kinda on a tight budget. Thanks guys

Although most people don't talk about the stiffness or performance aspect of coils, they are. Megan EZ's will be stiffer and lower at the same time although BCR's will have stiffer spring rates and even customizable spring rates that are stiffer than theirs normal set up. Do you plan on auto crossing the car?

Very spirited driving will definitely be going down. I would say its pretty similar to auto x

Well.. I don't really even have a budget for this but I'll make it happen. If the Megans are almost as good and I wont even be able to tell, then I'll just go that route. But if the bcr coils are THAT good then I'll go with them

If you're not planning to go that low just go with the EZ's. They've been known to be softer. I had Megan LP's and I did spirited driving and they were fine and I was slammed.

Yes, many members have them and that's the only complaint I've heard from them. They're not made as well as the BCR's also but I think they'll be fine for you. With the money you save invest in F Sport sway bars. That'll be the Biggest improvement.

You should get the front sway bar! i did recently and big improvement in neutralizing the steering and less front body roll in front. also, Megan EZ should be fine but softer than BCR. you should also invest money in TIRES because that improve handling A LOT.

Oh, i do autocross and track a lot too, glad to see you doing the same.

I will probably be getting the front sway then. I just remember people saying the front and rear sway bars make ur car lose traction easier which doesnt make too much sense to me. Dont worry I have good summer and winter tires. I dont play around when it comes to that. I'm running wider than stock too.

Now the softer part isnt an issue correct? My experience so far is softer = less handling. I want a vast improvement over stock. Thanks!

I think when people have said they're softer is because they're really low and they run their tires or wheels because of low offsets. Shouldn't be a problem for you since you only want 1" of lowering.
