Default Which STB will work with EDFC?

Hi,

Does anyone know which front STBs will work with the EDFC? I think the Tom's STB is open, but not sure if there is enough room.

Thanks,

Best possibility with the RMM. I don't see how the Tom's will fit -- it's open in that there is room [small hole] to make a coilover adjustment, but not room for the EDFC units.

FYI-

I just spoke with someone at RMM and they said their STB only works on the GS400 not GS430 (hood clearance issue). Since I have the GS430, there appears to be no STB options available right now that will work with the EDFC.

On the GS430, I guess the bar sits too high and will hit the hood, probably would clear the engine cover.

Hmmm . . . That sound's weird ?

Why would a 430 hood be any different than an older model hood ? ?

Other people have posted that they needed to remove the engine cover to fit other STB's besides the RMM one. I would almost put money on it, that it's just the cover that has clearance issues. The cover is only cosmetic, so if you can live without it . . .

Who you talking too at RMM, Eric ?

exactly. the gs4 and gs430 use the same chassis, and they obviously use the same hood (unless lexus is smoking crack and decide to dump more money). if anything it should be the engine cover not the hood?

Okay, I spoke with RMM again and they clarified that the RMM STB will work with the GS430, however, you will need to remove the engine cover. I guess they were apprehensive in saying it would fit the GS430 if you had to remove the engine covering.

OK, the cover is mainly a cosmetic piece, which some feel hurts the looks if removed.

The choice is yours.
