Rear break options (LS400 front)
I know alot of people upgrade the front GS brakes to the LS400 ones. But what upgrades are done for the rear?

My english may not be perfect sorry, I am from quebec after all...
So the only other choice was bbk? I figured the LS might have had 4 pistons in the back aswell. Since mine are jammed up I figured replacing them with something better could be an option then buying new or used GS ones.

as far as i remember the GS uses a 2 piston rear and so does the LS/Supra/SC (this may not be 100% accurate but this is what i recall) buy some used rear calipers, upgrade your rotors, pads, lines, fluid and you should be good to go........my suggestion is to upgrade the front with the rear so braking isnt biased F/R

For dual pistons...
I believe the supra tt rear caliper look alot better than GS400 rear.
But the LS400 4 pistons look much better than the supra tt... lighter too...
Or the LS430 rear caliper look nice too

while aesthetics aside, the supra rear (from memory) doesnt fit the GS and isnt worth the trouble to make it fit (making a bracket). i almost wanna say (again from memory) the Supra is a smaller rear design that the GS
the LS400 rears are NOT 4 piston although the fronts are
LS430 think you need a bracket made to mount the LS430's also

It comes down to what you want to spend. If you got the dough, go with the LS400 upgrade like most on here have done (I may do this as well) OR if you're strapped for funds, just uprgade the lines and grab some Akebono's. Repalce rotors if warped, but again, it's all about your cashflow

In quebec we say "freins". It's a spelling mistake on my part, get over it
I will look into getting some OEM used then.
The rotors that were on the car are slotted but seem very loud. I had in mind to change to some regular ones to correct this

they are, back in the day TRD rebadged them and sold them as a "BBK" with their name on it
