Default Failed Rear Sway Install. Help! please

So, I tried to install the rear sway today.

I marinated my 17mm bolts with PB blaster several times. I tried 3 times to remove the bolts on each side. They wouldn't move at all. I even used a longer rachet to get more torque. I ate my wheaties in the morning and worked out, yet I still failed.

Any suggestions? Should I just have a shop do it with air tools?

I was in the same boat as you.... I tried for an hour to remove those bolts, used WD40 and PB... nothing seemed to help. I got pissed, walked inside and "complained" for a bit. Walked back outside, found a bigger breaker bar, and they came off pretty quickly. I easily spent more time trying to get those 2 bolts off than I did on the entire rest of the swap... Once those bolts are lose, the rest is cake.

the older the car the harder it will be to take off those nuts. u gotta spray, soak, tap, and repeat a couple of times. will also take a lot of elbow grease. make sure u cranking the correct direction. nut gotta screw off counterclock-wise, which is spinning to the left

I remember i used a rubber mallet on my socket wrench to loosen the bolts just enough to use a breaker bar to loosen it up after.

Mine came off easy without using any wd-40.
In your case, you should spray some wd-40 and wait for a bit and you good to go

Try hitting the head of the bolt hard with a METAL hammer. The harmonics of the impact can rattle both your teeth and that rusty bolt "loose" hopefully. If not, light up a torch and heat it up!
