Need new shocks: L Tuned or Bilstein
I have 20K miles on my 01 GS 430 and want to replace the shocks. My choices are down to L Tuned or Bilstein. Looking for suggestions. I am running michelin 235-45-ZR17 XGTZ's with a TRD front STB.
Thanks

dzman,
there have been several posts on this already (search for them, if you like). I believe that L-tuned shocks are cheaper (by about 50%) and have less warranty (3 years, I think) than Bilsteins (lifetime).
I have not driven both, but I like my Bilsteins and have no regrets.

L-tuned is 1 year warranty, and Bilsteins is longer maybe lifetime. The warranty says it all. But is it really worth the extra price? Your call.
Blisten is a better quality shock and a bit stiffer than L-tuned which I believe are made by KYB in Japan and are a bit softer.

on budget and wants slightly firmer shock, get the Ltuned(by KAYABA, kyb) of japan....
for double the price, you can get one of the best shocks in the world, BILSTEINS....
as drew said, your call....both good shocks

Like my Bilsteins a lot. Am hopeful I nor the cars next owner will even think about replacing the shocks. These shocks make a huge difference. And I don't have my TRD sways yet.
Lifetime shocks should come on a $50,000 car from the factory. It would have cost Toyota maybe $100 extra, instead of the $1000 for the shocks and install it cost me. And they have a relationship with Bilstein, on the Tundra. But since over half the cost is the install, I opted for a solution that will last more than 20-30000 miles.

I like my Bilstein Shocks a lot. Gives you a more sportier feel and, of course, better handling. I am going to be selling mine soon with eibach springs cause I am thinking about getting Tein CS, I want more drop. . I was told that Bilsteins would last longer that the l-tuned, you can probably tell this by the warranty.
