L-Tuned Shocks - Pros & Cons?
The previous owner of my 2000 GS4 included a set of new, uninstalled L-Tuned shocks (http://lexus-parts.com/partdetail.as...CategoryID=21) when I purchased the car. I'm considering putting them on now and was wondering what the difference will be between them vs. stock shocks. Will they make for a much harsher ride? Are the advantages in cornering and feel dramatic?
Also at what point do people normally replace their shocks? The car has 70k on it now and the ride doesn't feel particularly soft but I bought it at 55k so I don't really know what it felt like when new.
Would really appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

L-tuned shocks are slightly firmer than OEM. It's not harsh at all. Its still going to be on the soft side.
The life of the shocks depends on the road condition too, not just mileage by itself.
If you want replacement shocks, get the KYB GR-2 shocks. You can find them for $280 shipping on ebay. L-tuned shocks are relabeled KYB.
