i have springs right now but have no idea what they are, the guy i bought it from told me they were GS springs, have no idea what he meant by that..

they are springs for a GS model lexus.... as for lowest drop coil overs is the best way to go but if you want springs do a search or check the suspension section.

cut the springs .... j/k... if Intrax is available, i think they give the lowest drop.

Some brands.... trd, intrax, h&r, suspension techniques, sprint, eibach, tein, skunk2 or skunk works, ground control... i'm sure there are a lot others i'm missing.... Good luck.

Check out this thread stickied at the top of the 2IS Suspension and Brakes forum. Lots of good info in there.

actually, road magnet springs for the 2is will lower ride height by 2" (note: on an awd 2is).
http://www.roadmagnet.com/Lexus-IS-250

in comparison:

H&R springs for the 2is will lower ride height by 1.4" up front, 1.3" in the rear.
http://hrsprings.com/scripts/appguid...ind3&MakeID=20

tein s-tech springs for the is350 will lower ride height by 1.6" up front, 1.2" in the rear. for the is250, it's 1.7" up front, 1" in the rear.
http://www.tein.com/products/s_tech_price_list.html

eibach pro-kit springs for the is350 will lower ride height by 1" in the front, 0.8" in the rear. for the is250, it's 1.4" up front, 1" in the rear.
http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe...07745500027676

tanabe nf210 springs for the is350 will lower ride height by 0.8" up front, 1.0" in the rear. for the is250, it's 0.7" all around.
http://www.tanabe-usa.com/nf210.asp?id=2

tanabe df210 springs for the is250 will lower ride height by 1.0" up front, 1.1" in the rear. no application information for the is350.
http://www.tanabe-usa.com/df210.asp?id=1

megan racing springs for the 2is will lower ride height by 1.25" all around.
http://www.meganracing.com/products/...=643&catid=141

f-sport springs for the 2is sedan (not the IS-C) will lower ride height by 25mm up front, 19mm in the rear (~1"/0.75").
http://www.fsport.com/

i think that's a comprehensive list of manufacturer specs for aftermarket lowering springs.

^Jason - that's not really an apples-to-apples comparison, because the ride height on an AWD IS is higher than that of the RWD suspension. Does anyone have the specs for the Road Magnet drop on a RWD IS?

^ that is true, and a search through the 2is suspension section didn't yield much information for "road magnet" and "rwd" either.

i'm not an expert in automotive suspension systems, and there is a pretty good possibility that this is wrong and illogical, but for argument's sake:

awd 2is ride height w/ road magnet springs = rwd 2is ride height w/ tein s-tech springs...

and since awd 2is oem ride height = rwd 2is ride height + ~1" (more or less?)...

therefore, rwd 2is ride height w/ tein s-tech springs = rwd 2is ride height w/ road magnet springs + ~1" (more or less).

so according to the ^ logic, road magnet springs have a lowered ride height moreso than other aftermarket lowering springs.

again, there is a pretty good possibility that this is wrong and illogical...

Since the suspension pieces are not the same, the subframes are not the same, and only the shock's upper mount location is the same, I'd say there's a strong chance this comparison is meaningless until tested.
