Red face Suspension thread for 2IS

I know I am new here, but I spent a whole lot of time looking for suspension threads. Could a mod sticky a thread that encompasses all of the suspension manufacturers that support the IS250/250? Specs on dropF/R, and softness/harshness would also be nice to the guys looking in to upgrading from factory springs/suspension.

With a sticky, there wouldn't be a whole lot of searching and countless threads of repeated inquiries for the IS suspension.

For those with coilovers:
cornerweighting tips 1
Cornerweighting vs. Cross weighting
Cornerweighting tips 2

Edit: If you have these lowering springs, please comment on how much they drop, and the difference in stiffness over stock. if you can provide a sideshot, that would be even better as it would illustrate the differences between factory and modified stances.

If someone creates a good post like you've defined we'll add it to the 2IS FAQ. Unless I missed it one doesn't exist... why don't you create it with the results of your searching?

With that post in the FAQ, there wouldn't be a whole lot of searching and countless threads of repeated inquiries for the IS suspension .

While it's fantastic to have pics showing ride height of each set of lowering springs, IMO it's pointless to post a picture of each coilover setup's ride height since it's completely up to the owner to decide at which height he/she prefers to run the car. More important to me (for comparison purposes) would just be features/specs and owner feedback.

I'll throw in a picture of my car on the H&R Sport springs:

I had the tanabe springs on my 2004 accord, the height was fine in the rear, but the fronts were not low enough in my opinion. I like to see the entire wheel (not tucked what so ever in wheel well) and they ddi this for me, but there was still a finger and a half of gap in the front. It bothered me, but the ride quality/comfort was perfect (not much different than stock).

I will probably get the tanabe setup again for my IS350 but wanted to give you all my 2 cents on their springs if it helps anyone. I go for a drop mainly for cosmetic purposes, if it helps with anti-roll, cool too.

great post, however - that "stock height" IS must be a AWD - sits way higher than my non-sport 250.

Also - I guess F-Sport springs = Eibachs?

It won't be as pointless if the person can state if they are slammed on coils or whichever height they are at. Someone may want tanabe coils, but only dropped 1.5 inches all around. They'll see how that would look like.
