Question Stock or Not

As stupid as this may sound (and I couldn't locate this any where with the search function or on Google period), can you lower your car with the stock suspension that is on there now (i.e. '00gs 300 on 20's) or do you have to get coil overs and or new springs/suspension to lower? Again, I apologize in advanced for this question.

not without cutting the coils, which is never a good idea for stock springs. You can use a number of aftermarket springs with stock struts provided your struts are in good shape. NF's, H-Techs, S-Techs, etc. are all pretty safe on stock struts. Some guys have run DFs and Espelirs and say they have no problems whatsoever but i'd be wary about dropping 2" on stock struts personally.
