Default IS250 brembos?

okay i wanna change the brakes on my IS250
i was thinking brembos.. as they are cheap and easily available 2nd hand..
is there any problems with bolting up the Lancer EVO brembos on a Is250?
the rotors and pads and calipers will be used off a lancer evo
but do i need a custom bracket to mount them??
any info will be great..

thanks guys

i doubt you can use the brake rotors from the evo without some major modifications.

you could re-use the brembo calipers; you'll definitely need custom brackets to mount the brembo calipers...

and then you'll probably need to find rotors that'll not only bolt on, but also clear the calipers...

and then you'd probably have to find some adapter to hook up the calipers to the brake lines...

why not just swap out the 250 brakes set-up w/ the 350 brakes set-up? it's a simple swap, and carson toyota/l-tunedparts.com sells the swap.

for your is250, the is350 brakes.

l-tunedparts.com has them, front and rear.

front: http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=2865
rear: http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=2867

just because evos have similar offset and same stud patterns, doesn't mean the calipers and rotors bolt right on. you can try, but it will be a lot of custom work.

if you're looking for a cheap and effective big brake kit, go w/ the is350 brake set-up.

edit: oops. the links are actually for the is-f brakes...

but the is350 brakes (front/rear) bolt right on.

They sell it in Japan also? If they do then why don't they sell it to China, Taiwan, Malay, Korea etc since they are JDM spec?

Who knows? Sometimes companies do the oddest things. It could be the lack of interest for an 350 in other countries. Or so they think.

They do indeed sell them in Japan, just go here to the Japanese Lexus website, IS250, IS350 & IS-F are all sold there.

I'll just assume your question is rhetorical.
