Default IS250 to 350 Caliper Upgrade... Whats needed?

Hello all, I just want to know what is needed to do a caliper upgrade from the 250 to the 350. I recently did my brakes and found that one of my calipers is frozen, and tried to fix it, and all it did was ruin my new pads and warpped my new rotor.

So instead od replacing the 2 stock 250 calipers I would like to replace them with the 350 calipers which I believe are dual piston. Are the caliper mounting points the same? and does anyone here have any 350 calipers that I can buy off you? ohh in working condition lol

Sewell sells a complete kit to upgrade the is250 brakes.

If you piece it together you would need....
brake rotors
brake pads
dust shields or you cut yours
brake calipers
shims

i think that's it

Thanks for the prompt whitecel. Here's the direct link should you need it: http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...-2008-265.html. The installation is simple bolt-on - nothing to it.

Is it true that you can't upgrade to the IS350 brake on an IS250 AWD?

...it's the wheel hubs. They're completly different. Because the hubs are different its now the cost of the hubs, plus the cost of knew steering knuckles plus the ancillary parts associated with the knuckle. Now, you'd be changing the entire suspension just to achieve a 4-piston caliper set-up.

We have not attempted as with the information above it not worth trying.

well so much for upgrading my brakes

side note: the awd option is great for a car, but on the is250awd you cant do anything to this car, its quite annoying. Still love my car tho,

I am not trying to hijack, but I am interested in the upgrade too, the German twisty roads are killing my brakes.

What size wheel do you need to run the 350 front rotors? I use 17's all around in the winter with snow tires, so CAN I run the 350 brakes with 17" wheels?
