Default Shock Spring assembly help: Bilstein/Eibach spring seating

Hi, does anyone have pictures of their bilstein/eibach spring shock assembly? If not, could someone tell me for the front suspension, in which direction is the end of the spring on the bottem spring seat supposed to face? Also did you reuse the stock strut mounts, rubber spring seat (goes in between top of spring and strut mount), stock bumpstop (did you cut it?). I bought them used and they didn't come with instructions. I already installed them, but they don't look like they are at the correct ride height (a friend told me he doesn't think the springs are seated correctly or faced in the right direction. Those of you that have installed them your self please let me know. I have the sports and pro kit if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance
Francis

when using bilstein hd's, you must use your oem top mounts. not sure about bilstein sports, since i had hd's. for the direction of the end of the spring, i'd have to check. i might have taken pics when installed and on the rack. if i have, i'll let you know.

i have the rears bilstein sports sitting right here. if the fronts are the same, make sure the FLAT side of the lower mount is on the botton. like this

and the spring should sit right into the groves.

not sure if this helps. but i gave it a try. hehe.

is the car sitting too high or too low?
and off topic question. hows the ride? really stiff, stiff/firm, or stock feeling.

correct me if i'm wrong, i believe that bottom mounting plate is movable; it only tightens up when the strut is compressed

maybe gsteg could chime in. my memory is on vacation right now, LOL

also, i believe the sports should have a softer ride than the hd's. i felt everything on the road with my hd's.

PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THAT'S TRUE...
i did a seach and i got mixed reviews but i heard more ppl say Sport is made for lowered springs and are made stiffer. and the HD were stock replacement that is Heavy Dudy for stock height use. but i always questioned why the HD cost more... AHHHH ... I AM CALLING Bilstein tomorrow..

shane, yes the sports are made for lowering springs (i stood corrected on a previous thread) but i dont know if they're made more firm than the hd's for that purpose. i havent ridden in 98 whitearisto's car who has the sports, but he likes em. dont worry, you're good on the sports thats your bag in the picture ya?

Thanks for the input guys.
Everything in on correctly but i'm just wondering if that groove on the spring seat has to face any specific direction.

Thanks,
Francis

Alright thanks guys, When installed I positioned the groove to face the same direction as stock so i guess i'm ok. I was comparing my ride heighth to my cousins with eibach pro kit with stock springs. My shocks probably are probably causing my car to sit higher.

Thanks,
Francis
