Default front STB

Can any front STB be installed on a 430 and the engine cover will still be able to stay in place??
I like the look of the engine cover and don't want to loose it. But I want a front STB.

If I ditch the cover, will dust in Arizona be a problem for me. What about heat or noise?

As matters stand, no front STB will clear the engine cover without spacers on the strut tower mounts. But then you start to run short of threaded bolt when you replace the nuts. The engine cover is only there for a clean appearance to the engine compartment, not a functional issue, so no consequences to removing it. I couldn't detect any increase in noise and obviously it's not there to keep dirt/dust off the motor.

it's kinda surprising how much higher the engine cover for the gs430 stand above that of the gs400
