How long do the TEIN shocks like on HA,CS,Flex last for?
Hey Guys,
I just wanted to say how good this forum as been to me over the past 5 years. I guess talking to Neo today, i realized i've been with clublexus from the first site to this site, which i think is the 3rd revision.
I have a question, the TEIN HA's are a bit harsh for my tastes now, so there are the Flex's i'm thinking of picking up and i wanted to know how long these setups, mainly the shocks last for? 50000 miles? 100000 miles? Thanks everyone!!! Keep up the good work!

For those wondering, they can range anywhere from 20,000 to 40,000 miles depending on your driving style and conditions.
Also, did you know that they can recondition any shock for $100. Also, they also have different types of spring for spring rates, 4 springs for $200. So if you wanted a softer ride, you don't have to forgo the money you spend on your system and just upgrade your system.

Depends a lot on the brand and where you are and how you drive. Original equipment shocks are notorious for not lasting even 20K miles. No experience with Tein but Koni and Bilstein will go a long time before they develop a problem. Not sure exactly how long but much longer than 20 or 40K miles. Warranties can be a huge amount of marketing fluff but if that lifetime warranty was costing Bilstein a lot of money, it wouldn't be there. In fact, Bilsteins do break in and it takes a while. They are really a lot smoother after five or ten thousand miles than when they are new. I have put over 100,000 miles on Bilsteins with no visible leakage and no detectable signs of wear on the handling. Also had very good luck with KYB and, of all things, Monroe - at least certain model Nos.

you aren't serious are you. thats 2-3 years. if thats the case forget it. and i'm not into shelling out more for maintence and replacing springs later on either
