Who here dislikes the Lexus Engine Cover!!
ok so I have had my car for about a month now and love it. when i take it out to a party with friends and family they come and check it out tell me how nice it looks. I show them the inside and they think its so luxurious but then when I pop the hood they look confused. they want to see the engine but everything is completely covered.
i guess this is how new cars are made these days or something but just wanted your opinions.
O yah and is it ok if I drive with the engine cover off??

Engine covers are purely aesthetic. It just hides the confusing number of tidbits and doodahs within the engine bay.
If you want to take them off, go for it. The noise output, albeit more, is insignificant to most people...

Actually, the engine covers are not only for aesthetics. They help accomplish NVH standards for Lexus. Most of your higher-end cars nowadays have these engine covers for this reason.
