Default Engine Under Cover / Splash Shield FYI

For those who may need to change their engine under cover / splash shield:

Part number 5141053080 (51410-53080) was replaced by 5141053081 (51410-53081). Some dealership sites state that the 5141053081 part number will not fit the 08-09 IS F, but this is not the case. It will definitely fit the 08 IS F. The nice thing is that the -081 part number is quite a bit cheaper than the -080 part.

Some photos for comparison sake:

FYI, I bought the -81 updated unit and transferred the sound deadening material to it from the old one. Not hard at all.

Good to know, I noticed the material on the -80 version and didn't know if it was transferable easily to the -81 updated version

Yes I definitely shattered my original one early on its life...

Dont remember when, but I was still able to get the original 80 unit in 2 tries..
(First one arrived with a missing corner at the dealership)

After a few years of sitting in my garage, I finally installed it last year.
I had a nice clean photo of it when I did my LCA's thanks to @lobuxracer ...

But I can't find it anymore..

@MileHIFcar I replaced my existing (assumed original) with 51410-53081 last month. There was no sound deadening material as shown in the -80 photo above on either. No way for me to tell if it was removed from existing at some point. Curious to see what you find with yours.
