I have posted a thread that was critical of NFL officiating, and it has been deleted a couple of times. I am not in violation of any posting rules. Can someone please explain this censorship to me? Thanks!! ~R
The first time it just got merged into the "Superbowl thread" (go there, it's in there) since there was no reason for your post to have it's own thread. The 2nd time you posted it it probably got deleted. I wouldn't call that censorship.... also, in the future you can try PMing one of the mods or making a thread in the "Site Suggestions/Feedback" forum

Although I didn't know it was merged, a quick check of your threads (click on your own membername and then find more threads by... OR search by membername) can help you find any threads you think may have trouble finding.
Questions like this should be posted here in the site suggestions OR PMd to a moderator, not posted in the main forums please.

I also see another Super Bowl topic posted by OLT and that wasn't merged. What am I missing here??

You may be catching threads mid-stream of being merged. Like I said, there are a lot of them that will pop up.
I see that it has since been merged. I don't see this happening often in model specific forums, so perhaps that's what confusing me here. Does it happen more often in the general forums to save on bandwidth?

It happens in model specific forums every day many times a day. It's just invisible to you if you aren't part of the threads or didn't happen to read them when they were separated.Originally Posted by RRocket

I typically edit the title when I merge them or know threads have been merged, not all moderators do. You can get a sample of how often it happens by searching thread titles for "merge", you can see it happens all over the place, but is most common in the clubhouse and car chat

People complain about having multiple threads all the time.. just in the last couple of days

Not concerned about bandwidth, concerned about clutter and ease of search.
