Default Mods being lazy or spiteful?

So I've noticed in the last few months that threads are being locked instead of merged as usual, and some threads being locked w/o any explanation. What gives, its forum. Its not your high school English class. Lighten up you guys.

I'm going to move this, because if you have Forum Questions, Suggestions, or Problems; it should be in the correct Forum.

It's just lazy. No seriously, its spite.

What kind of response do you expect by starting an un-constructive thread like this? Do you want to see a thread with 50 people posting a "REPOST!!!" reply on a topic that has already been discussed recently? Sometimes a moderator doesn't have time to search up the old thread or elects to close a repost (or multiple-repost) rather than merging it when the old thread has been fully explored.

We also have a very large crew of new mods still learning their way just starting this week.... How about being a little appreciative of the volunteer work that's done to make your experience more pleasurable on CL vs being rude like this....

Pm me if you want to discuss further or offer some examples.
