My sister just bought a 2002 SC430 recently. The aftermarket radio was already installed by the previous owner. The radio would sometimes work and sometimes would cut in and out like on the video. The radio would cut in and out more than it would work normally unfortunately.
The head unit works fine without issues. From what I've read here on the forums, the amp is a real common problem on these. So I'm assuming that would be the issue. I just wanted to post the video and check with fellow members here and see if it's actually the amp that's the issue. Thanks!!
Unfortunately the aftermarket install makes anything possible. You cannot assume the head unit is operating correctly from what I saw. The only thing I saw was the audio cutting in and out. And unfortunately again, the car is your sister's and not sitting in your garage to look at any time you have time. I would inspect the previous installation. Inspect every connector modified for the new system. Did they leave the original amp or install new aftermarket? Did they change the speakers? Did they keep the steering wheel controls? This is not quite as straightforward as if it was the OEM system. Keep us informed. Tell your sister she bought a great car but she needs to get her behind over to the forum and introduce herself. 😁

I get what you're saying. I'll have to try and see if I can maybe find a different head unit to see if I can get it to replicate the problem.

I recently went through 3 head units. (I bought some 10” android units from Amazon with CarPlay and Android auto) and I had a similar (not exactly the same) issue with one of the units. Turns out it was a bad ground. I would check all the connections. Also what wiring converter is being used? Metra axxess or beat sonic? From what I’m seeing in the video it’s a probably with the wiring more than likely or a bad head unit. Check all of the wiring connections behind the head unit first and foremost.
Maybe you can hit a speed bump and see if the system cuts out.
I think your first step is to take the radio and see what the connections look like. If you give a tug on each wire individually, you can probably find the culprit
I just bought an SC430, which I love, and installed an aftermarket radio with a backup camera. I mostly use the CD player and sometimes there is no sound. I can see on the screen that the player is running, but no sound is coming out. The system seems to have a mind of its own because most of the time it works fine, but sometimes this is what happens, no matter what I do. It also is somewhat erratic in how long it takes to backup camera to engage when I put the car in reverse. I had a reputable business install it, and I'm going to take it in for them to look at the connections. Anyway I am wondering if anybody else has had this problem and what you have learned. Thanks!

I see two possibilities: either your interface unit or your radio. Most likely your interface unit since your back up camera is also effected. I’d take it back to the place that did the installation, hopefully the work still under warranty. Let’s know what is the culprit.
