Coolant change during WP RandR

Coolant change during WP RandR

Someone said that when the timing belt and Water Pump RandR at 90K miles was done that they will replace the coolant. Is this an absoluute or will they just pour the drained collant back in??

No one will pour the drained fluid back. Coolant is cheap. You can rest a sure that you had new coolant.

I once would have agreed with you, but my last TB replacement, they forgot totighten down the alternator, resulting in the loss of the alteernator. So you never know what some idiot in a Lexus garage might do if he is in a hurry.

My dad was a cheap bastard and he would pour used coolant back in! However, he was also a an Engineer, and would change his fluids, including coolant, by the book (as specified by the manufacturer).
