Finally fixed wind noise around mirror. The fix is simple. All that is needed is a short piece of 1/4" vinyl tubing. If you push your finger in the rubber molding you will find an opening about an inch from the edge, just push the tubing in there and snip it off at the top of molding. It seems to stay in place just fine. It worked great on the drivers side. It's as quite as my LS is. Today I did the passenger side. I'll let it rest with the window up so the tubing can take set and she will be good to go. If this doesn't last I'll use some silicon vacuum tubing. It will stay nice and round and not squash like vinyl.
No photos. All you need is fingers,1/4" vinyl tubing, and an SC430. Shove the tubing in slot and trim excess.i can not see how I can take photo of tubing in that slot. It is out of sight.
The fix was free. Tubing came from worn out canula.

I too would like to understand how you fixed the wind noise. I kind of have an idea, but pictures always help.
Yes. Just pull the rubber molding. It has a pocket on the backside of the molding. There is a tube of rubber inside the molding to give it some added support where the mirror meets the molding. If the rubber tube inside is partially collapsed, you can pull it out and flop it around. That will probably be enough. OR you can take some aquarium air tubing and insert inside the tube to stiffen it up. No tools required. Just pull.

Do you have to pull the moulding out along the A-pillar? Does it go back in easy?
I'm still having a somewhat difficult time understanding exactly where and what to do.
I don't know what else to tell you. My picture shows the molding removed, it is easy to pull away and it is easy to put back in place. There was no glue. Just the shape of the molding keeps it in place.
I think that he is saying that the picture may be too close to provide him perspective as to what the location is. If you would do an additional picture a little farther back to provide more of the surrounding area, it would be more apparent which molding you are referring to.
