You made me show you my crappy drivers seat leather you Rat Bastard! 😉 But I am happy to say the new replacement LSeat covers are on order and that flaw will be corrected soon enough too. 😁

If I’m understanding correctly, you put some rubber tubing in the circled area to stiffen it up?

No. That hole you see has a piece of tubing inserted inside going to the top of the pillor. I think the piece is about 6-8 inches. Ill go out and take another picture. LOL.

This is the rubber insert that goes up inside the molding, that can become collapsed over time allowing the wind noise that this thread is about. Buy new, flip it around so the opposit end is at the top or find a suitable replacement to ensure a better seal where the mirrors edge meets the molding.

And the OP was saying to just shove some 1/4” tubing in there.
Got it.

I have used the aquarium tubing in other areas. And I cant say that if it was inserted in the right spot that it wouldn't be effective. Here's a link for other areas that could possibly use some extra support. It doesn't include the rear top seal though. Same design, same purpose. They have these types of molding support areas in several locations.

And once you pull that out you can actually get it back in?

And yes, I too was confused about how a 1/4" of tube could rectify this...

If you pulled it all the way out, I would make an insertion tool out of a coat hanger. Straighten one out, fold it in half and fold it back on itself.
