Battery cut-off switch -- bad idea?
You can buy a memory saver which is a cigarette lighter attachment that you put a regular 9 volt battery in that you plug into your cigarette lighter that will keep you from losing your computer settings etc. when you're battery is disconnected. Just type in 9 volt memory saver Amazon and several will show up for sale.
Why not look into getting the drainage problem fixed once & for all. That way you don't have worry on the long run. It's not a problem with all the SCs, therefore I would have it looked at.

Big-Autoparts car battery disconnect switch works with various voltages, which gives it the flexibility to be installed in different vehicle types. Furthermore, the guarantee offered by the manufacturer makes it an excellent value product.
Hi - what did you end up doing? I have the same issue - no access to power where I park and will be away for longer than I think the battery will stay charged. It doesn't seem the model with the green know fits our battery, but from the picture below it looks like this one does?

If you be away for while, I say just disconnect the Neg terminal, it takes less then a minute.
