Default New battery reset??

I am going to replace my battery... I know that I will need to reprogram my stereo, but will it effect or mess up anything regarding my turbo's Apexi boost and fuel guage settings? Will disconnecting the battery have any other effects?

I suggest you look in your aftermarket electronics manuals and see if the memory is reseted if you disconnect power. In any case you should have all your settings written sown so you can tune it all up to the original condition from the scratch. Otherwise there should not be any problems, I disconnect my battery almost every day on my car.

Wow everyday? doesnt that get annoying at times? or do you have a button or a switch that you can turn on and off when you leave your car for the night??

Why would you want to do that?
To readjust your ECU?

Haha...I want my transmission ECU to be fresh and rested over night so it could learn some of my agressive driving all over again...yeaH boiiii!

Anyway, while I work on audio the rule #1 is ALWAYS to disconnect the battery before doing the wiring.

Well, I work on my system every day when the car is not in the shop.

McNelson, write everything down and go for it. Better yet call up the shop that installed the toys for you. they should answer these kinds of questions.

I made a bunch of calls and the Apexi controllers hodl their memory if the battery is disconnected. But now I have to spend forever to reprogram my entire system (well the eq anyway for the most part)

You can also use a quick switch battery disconnect such as this.
