2002 sc430 antenna replacement
Since the antenna motor is working, I was told guess I only needed the antenna mast. When my friend try to install the new mast he said that the motor would not grasped the plastic clips so he was thinking that I now need a new motor because he said that there was a possibility The things that rip the plastic antenna we’re now worn out. Any help on repairing this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, landman

2003 sc430 antenna motor
I was lucky enough to pick up a 2003 SC430 with low miles (love it).
The antenna was broken and I grabbed a mast with the notches line. I took apart the motor to remove the old broken line. But when I feed the new one in, it pulls it all the way in and keeps running. I've taken the housing apart several times now, but I can't pull off the final step.
should I cut the white notched line to make it shorter? Any ideas? (And yes, I've watched the videos on YouTube...they leave out a couple of steps regarding the collar.)
Thanks,
Gaetano

2003 sc430 antenna motor
I've got it to grab the teeth and pull the antenna down. It just keeps running for 10 or 15 seconds and gets progressively louder after the antenna is all the way down. I dont want to mess up the motor.

I finally gave up and just left the antenna 1/3 up
If I take it all apart again, I'll certainly do that. I think the white strip was either too short or too long short. I'll do some more research on what I got and go from there. India get the pdf that tells you how to ser the radio to change it.
Thanks

Converted mine using a Honda S2000 Antenna, Would have been easy DIY, except nowadays you can not find the Honda S2000 antenna.
