Anyody know the radio code for a factory sc 430, 2004 radio?. Looked everywhere and cannot find. Is it factory set or set by previous owner? How do I recover? Thanks ....strabane
....thats an interesting question, because I wasn't aware of one. I do know there is a shipping mode that enables the radio.........could this be the same thing ? Try searching or googling "putting the Sc430 radio in shipping mode" & see if this might help. Hopefully someone else will chime in on this, that may have more knowledge on this matter
The background to this is that I am getting error 3 (not ship mode) on my radio indicating a cd exchange problem. Tried all kinds of things to eject the cds but nothing working and do not wish to disconnect and reconnect the battery (apparently this may serve to reset the radio and may eject the cds) as I read something that said I should have the radio code before doing this. Radio is working fine but if I reset and get no radio, would be in worse trouble

...now this may sound crazy, but another thing that has worked to free the cd player, is to hit the side of the dash (next to radio). Try it on both sides or anywhere close to the radio, this method has worked for me many of times & for a lot of members also...lol
...lol....give it a few more tries, if not you may have to try disconnecting the battery. I haven't heard that you will need a code to reset the radio afterwards. I have disconnected my battery many times & never had to use a code, to make the radio work

This is a VERY common problem on the SC. Do a search for Code 3 or cd problem and you can see all the different ways people worked around the problem.
I got fed up with Code 3 earlier on and added an input with blue tooth, problem solved. No more Error code. I have 6 hostaged CD's in there though, who cares.
