Question Driver Memory pre-sets

I am trying to set the driver memory for my car and I have followed the directions from the manual, but still no success. Though my wife will only drives it occasionally, it is a hassle to have to set all my preferences back to where I like them each time. I tried to hold down the set and driver 1 buttons like suggested, but I hear no beep as I read should occur. Any insights here would be appreciated. I have an 2008.

Thanks,

Ross

if you disconnect the battery you'll have to do this reset again afterwards.

Or park the car for a couple of weeks without starting it, but that's a different thread!

And the collective memory of Club Lexus helps another grateful owner. That is why this is such a great forum.
