Question SC430 reader code issues

I own a 2002 SC430 with 20,200 miles on it which I purchased new. The other day the check engine light came on. I checked it with the code reader and got the following 2 codes. P0300 (random multiple misfired detected) and C1201 (engine control system malfunction). The car ran great before, now running real ruff and when you drive it has less power. Please Help
Thanks

C1201 is ECU fault. The p0300 is random engine miss. That low of mileage on a 02. Has maybe a mouse got in and chewed some wire? Pulls the cover off the engine look everywhere for signs of a mouse. Just my first thought.

P0300 indicates a Random Misfire. Common cause is bad plugs or failing coil pack.

C1201 is the ABS, it will occur if the pads are worn down too much. At least that is what others have reported.

Thanks I looked over the engine area real good didn't see any damage. Also is there any way to check the coil packs?

You can check them with an ohmmeter. I don't know the values for this particular vehicle.

You want to fix the p0330 then clear the codes. The c1201 almost always shows up with additional codes. It's the other codes causing the c1201 usually. If it comes up by its self with the vsc light or with another brake code then like retro said you start by looking at the brakes.

Has any work been done recently, started right after refueling, or anything else you can think of?

The last thing was a oil change, which was done at the Lexus dealer.that was about a month ago. No problems until this happened. The engine is really misfiring.

Just an idea, maybe try a battery cycle (disconnect the battery for 30 minutes), and see if the lights come back on? Not sure what others think about this idea, but maybe clearing the ECU with this procedure may help?
