I am a new owner of a 2005 Sc 430 - and new to the Forum. I would like to find a Lux Link (which unfortunately is not being manufactured anymore). If anyone wants to sell one - or has any leads I would appreciate it. Thanks

 

welcome to the forum not easy to come by.

 

I was in the same situation as you last July. I could not locate the newest version, but Steve at Luxury Motor Works (the inventor of LuxLink) still had a few of the first generation around. Works great for me!

 

I've got an extra one.

JohnnyCake gets first right of refusal on it, though. Let me check with him and see if I can let it go.

Yup. We had to organize a group buy a couple of years ago to get Steve to make a new batch of them. They only made as many as they had orders for. Some of us (who already had one) ordered a spare to have on the shelf, because it's such a valuable aftermarket accessory for the SC430.

 

Could that be done again? I wonder how many orders it would take to make them consider it? A few of us might order 2. I think I would.

Steve was extremely hesitant to do this the last time. We had to beg him (and give him many (can't remember how many, exactly) confirmed, prepaid orders before he'd commit to running off a batch of them. He has to order the boards and components, build them, test them, and SUPPORT them (which takes up a lot of his time).

Also, he's not a CL vendor so, we have to be very careful about how we talked about it on here. As he's not an official "vendor", we cannot advertise his products/services. We can't do a "Group Buy" for the LuxLink.
