I just received a front grill Lexus logo that I bought on eBay for my 2002 SC 430, which was de-badged when I bought it. The logo is a one-piece plastic part that seems like it should snap in place....but I can't figure out how to install it. (Which is why I didn't even try to pull the door panels to check the front door speakers a few months ago!) confused:
Can someone tell me how it is done...like at a particular angle, or with a "snap" or something?
mine screws in . If the badge didn't come with one, make sure you use one long enough that it doesn't back out. Or you can get the screw from Lexus for about $1. Here's the picture:
There should be a little square piece of plastic on the grill for it to screw into. It's silver, so people either paint over it, put a piece of black tape over it, or cut it off. If it's the latter, you're out of luck and will have to buy a new (or used) grill.
The problem is that I don't see any place where screws would attach to the logo piece. I'm waiting to get a response from the ebay vendor...I'm hoping Monday.
If worse-comes to-worse...it may be a case for Mr. Epoxy!
Either that, or I was going to say make your own custom bracket A piece of scrap metal with a hole in it, a washer and some nuts and bolts laying around on your bench. BADABING
